Bath & Stonehenge

Stonehenge is one of England's most visited tourist attractions, but it isn't necessarily the most exciting one. To a lot of people anyway. There is no fancy visitor centre - just a couple of gigantic stones in the middle of nowhere. I however love going there and wondering how and why 3500 years ago, people transported stones weighing up to four tonnes, over 240 miles from Wales to an inconspicuous plain in the English countryside. How did they do it? How did they erect them when they finally got there? And why?

There are many myths and legends surrounding Stonehenge, and to this day so called neo-druids pilgrimage and gather there to celebrate the summer solstice. I actually spotted one myself this time, but sadly didn't get the chance to speak to him. Have you been to Stonehenge - and if yes, did you like it?
